This is a family oriented Friday night Shabbat service at our Reform synagogue. It will be held outdoors and include a blessing for our union called a aufruf. In Judaism, an aufruf is a pre-wedding tradition, in which the engaged couple is called to the Torah for a blessing signifying community support and a connection to Jewish traditions.
